IRS Group has zero tolerance for modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour and any form of worker exploitation. As a GLAA-licensed labour provider supplying workers into food production, manufacturing and warehousing, we know our sector carries real risk, and we take our responsibility to protect workers seriously.

1. About this statement
This statement explains the steps IRS Group, made up of Industrial Recruitment Solutions Ltd and Industrial Recruitment Services Limited, takes to prevent modern slavery and labour exploitation in our business and supply chain. We publish it voluntarily, in the spirit of section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
2. Our business
We supply temporary workers and recruit for permanent roles in warehouse and logistics, production and manufacturing, engineering, food production and commercial and office roles across the West Midlands, from offices in Coventry and Dudley.
Food production workers are supplied only through Industrial Recruitment Services Limited, which holds our GLAA licence (licence number INDU0026) as the law requires for the food sector. Industrial Recruitment Solutions Ltd supplies workers into all our other sectors and follows the same standards. Since April 2026, GLAA licensing has been run by the Fair Work Agency, which now enforces workers' rights and labour provider licensing in the UK. As a licence holder we must meet the GLAA licensing standards, which set strict rules on how workers are recruited, paid, housed and treated.
3. Our commitments to workers
- We never charge you a fee to find you work. It is illegal, and anyone asking you for money to get a job with us is not acting for IRS Group.
- We never keep your passport or ID. We check and copy documents for right to work purposes and hand them straight back.
- You are paid directly into a bank account in your own name. We do not pay wages to a third party.
- You will always be paid at least the National Minimum Wage and receive a clear payslip showing your hours, pay and any deductions.
- We only make deductions that are lawful, agreed with you in writing beforehand and shown on your payslip.
- You receive written terms and a Key Information Document before you start, explaining who pays you, how much and any costs.
- You are free to leave. You can end an assignment at any time and will not be penalised for doing so.
4. How we prevent exploitation
At registration
Every worker is registered individually and has their identity and right to work checked. Our team is trained to look for warning signs, including:
- someone else speaking for the worker, holding their documents or filling in their forms;
- several workers sharing the same bank account, address, phone number or emergency contact;
- workers being dropped off and collected by the same person, or appearing afraid, controlled or unsure of their own address;
- workers saying they owe money to someone for their job, travel or accommodation.
Our systems flag shared bank accounts, addresses and phone numbers so they can be looked into.
During assignments
We stay in regular contact with workers and clients. We check timesheets and pay for anything unusual, and we make sure workers know how to contact us privately if something is wrong.
Clients and suppliers
We expect our clients and suppliers to share our zero tolerance approach. We do not use unlicensed labour providers or subcontract the supply of workers to anyone who does not hold the licences the law requires.
5. Training
All IRS Group staff are trained to recognise the signs of modern slavery and labour exploitation and to understand what to do if they have a concern. Training is refreshed regularly.
6. What happens when a concern is raised
Any concern raised with us, by a worker, client, member of staff or member of the public, is treated seriously and in confidence. Where we believe someone may be at risk, we will report it to the police, the Fair Work Agency or the Modern Slavery & Exploitation Helpline, and we will take steps to protect the worker. Nobody will be treated unfairly for reporting a concern in good faith.
7. Approval and review
This statement has been approved by the directors of Industrial Recruitment Solutions Ltd and Industrial Recruitment Services Limited. It is reviewed at least once a year.
